Sarah's first Marathon

Hey everyone! Sorry we've been so lazy with updating this...but ever since we joined Facebook....hmmm, well, anyways. So, crazy Sarah joined the other 12,500 runners at the Louisville Derby mini (13.1 miles/21km's) & full (26.2 miles/42km's) marathon yesterday. It was 86 degrees (32 celcius) and a long 5 & 1/2 hours, but oh so worth it!! All glory to God for giving us amazing bodies that can push the limits and oh what a great community feeling, to be encouraging each other as we all plodded along. Big thank you to Russell and Stanley who met me at the 22 mile mark and helped me hobble to the finish line. New Zealand represent! xx

Cool pix - sorry hadn't looked for ages ......

So you finished your marathon OK, good to see you flying the NZ flag!

Speaking of which, I bought Nan a book all about NZ food and the cooking of it - for educational purposes only, mind you - for her Mother's Day present. She thought it was a good joke, but Pop remains hopeful he might get a banana cake out of it!

Love the hairstyle Russell - it will go well with the bowtie!
