birthday and south carolina

Hello, hello again. We are still busy working our many jobs, Sarah @ Starbucks and the YMCA and Russell doing temp work @ the American Cancer Society, but we still have time to take a little weekend trip to South Carolina as well as throw in a birthday.
On our weekend trip to South Carolina, we were able to see the Atlantic Ocean again, since Sarah just loves the ocean, and play a little mini-golf. (of course Russell won, again :), but who is keeping count? ) It was a good weekend to get away from the everyday grind and spend some time talking and praying about some future events.
On top of having wonderful trips to the beach in SC, it was Russell's mom's birthday. Of course we went out to eat and then came home and had a wonderful cake that Sarah made. Everyone had a good time...even little Brooks. As always, she is life of the party.
Thank you again for all your love and support. We hope and pray that God is teaching you amazing things each day. We love you.

Russell and Sarah
ps- for all you art lovers out there...Russell took a cool picture of the flowers that we gave Joye for her birthday.

oceans and ponds

Hey ya'll, we're in a little town in South Carolina this weekend chilling out and since there's wireless at the hotel...here we are. So we went down to Virginia Beach last weekend with Becca & Christian. Sarah got to touch the Atlantic Ocean for the first time :) The golden sands, beautiful sunshine and relaxed atmosphere made for a wonderful day...the second-hand car we were interested in buying...did not! Not very impressed with the used car market here so far!
We are both working hard at our temporary jobs until we find where we're meant to be...and yeah, as you can tell...it's FREEZING here! Had a wonderful walk around our community this morning and had heaps of fun throwing rocks onto the frozen lake trying to crack the ice...I don't think the duckies really appreciated our efforts.
Lastly just wanted to show everyone our gorgeous little newphew (Keenan Stiles) who will be one this May and little miss Brooks Heckman who will be two in June. We are just so proud to be a part of such great families and being away really does make you realise what's important in life...people!
So to all you special, wonderful people out there who just bless us so much...know that we're thinking about ya'll, we miss ya'll and appreciate your prayers as we continue our exciting journey into the unknown :)
Be blessed
Russell & Sarah
