Happy Birthday to us!!

Hey everyone :) So we had a wonderful time hiking in the beautiful Red River Gorge in east Kentucky today for our birthdays. We crossed the same river 26 times, it was teeming with rain, thunder and lightening...but we had a blast...particularly Stanley!! xx

Then...we were able to celebrate with some friends at the local Mexican Restuarant and really sink in the whole Cinco de Mayo festivities...with even an Elvis impersonator. Much love to all and happy Cinco de Mayo.

Sarah's first Marathon

Hey everyone! Sorry we've been so lazy with updating this...but ever since we joined Facebook....hmmm, well, anyways. So, crazy Sarah joined the other 12,500 runners at the Louisville Derby mini (13.1 miles/21km's) & full (26.2 miles/42km's) marathon yesterday. It was 86 degrees (32 celcius) and a long 5 & 1/2 hours, but oh so worth it!! All glory to God for giving us amazing bodies that can push the limits and oh what a great community feeling, to be encouraging each other as we all plodded along. Big thank you to Russell and Stanley who met me at the 22 mile mark and helped me hobble to the finish line. New Zealand represent! xx

old man winter

As you can tell...old man winter has arrived in kentucky. We had been getting some cold days before the storm hit (like 2-5 degrees fehrenheit/ -15 to -18 celsius) but now we are covered in ice and snow. We are doing some serious chi-laxing as school is closed until further notice....how strange is this place?? Hope you are all safe and warm like us and feeling so blessed that we can enjoy God's beautiful creation all year round xx love you all, Russell, Sarah & Stanley Bone
